There's hardly a sign of the festival left but this is a little blog post to recount what we did at the festival and a chance to say thank you.
Rather spontaneously, we decided to rock up at the festival without a plan to see if we could arrange a pop up shop for the whole of August.
EVERYONE knows this is almost impossible, the typical London moan: there is no accommodation left or tickets to the shows I want are sold out. Yet, somehow, against all odds we managed to collaborate with a fantastic pop up bar/restaurant to have the most unique and awesome pop up shop in Edinburgh.
The watchtower at St Cuthbert's church is one of the locations where grave robbers were kept at bay and prevented from selling corpses to doctors in the city for dissection. The Sketch pop up shop changing room was in the watchtower with the oldest grave (200years) the retail base. We weren't selling on top of the grave, the body is respectfully not in front of the gravestone but behind it under the road.
We had a wonderful three weeks making new friends, meeting new customers, having way too much prosecco!
We'd like to say a huge thank you to my new gang, our new customers, new friends and our stockist Jojo from Lilies & Dreams (Stockbridge, Edinburgh) for your kind support and encouragement.
See you again at Christmas and/or next Summer!
