Sketch London Blog Post Horror Peacock Theatre

From the night we told our mum that Freddie Krueger was a comedy, we have loved horror, devoured it. Good bad funny boring, we have even loved watching Bollywood horrors, which let us tell you, are scarier than you think!

Jakop Ahlbom's Horror currently on the wonderful Peacock Theatre was made for us. Modern dance, great venue and an homage to horror. Even in the opening scene, three dancers walk in with red capes which makes you tingle with Little Red Riding Hood and Don't Look Now memories. There's The Ring, Exorcist, X Files, Blair Witch, Carrie, The Shining and more.

The dancers are incredible and some of the scenes are beautifully choreographed although it did dip every now and then. I also wouldn't have minded a more coherent storyline. The music brings you back up and there were some genuinely creepy scenes so I was glad not to be walking home on a wintery night. The tongue scene has become very well known, I can tell you it is gross. Thoroughly recommended, a fabulous night out.

Enjoy!
